This problem is evident in most wells, where by increasing the production rate, it leads to an abrupt increase in the water cut, demonstrating a possible instability on the invasion front, considerably reducing the production and the effectiveness of the project. So this research, aims to establish cause and effect relationships on this problem. Regarding the methodology, the relevant information of the area and the wells was studied and validated, in order to then study the actual rupture times of each one, which were lower than the expected times, affirming a decrease in the effectiveness of the medium-sized project. long term. Next, the origin of the water was studied to establish the correlation relevant to calculate the critical water control rate, obtaining flows below the one historically managed, demonstrating that this criterion was not met. Finally, a well-to-well study was carried out to deduce the possible reasons why the wells produce  a high percentage of water, analyzing their history, production and pressure history, injection behavior of the petrophysical and structural patterns and properties of the area, in order to be able to compare the calculations described above with the actual field data.
